Testimonials
"Thanks for helping me get rakeback at Full Tilt, I went from a break even player to growing my bankroll while I improved my skills. Thanks to rakeback, I'm now beating 200nl. Adam was very helpful in answering all of my questions about the rakeback program."
Stephen Reinhardt

"Thank you for teaching me about rakeback. I was depositing and busting my bankroll every month last year, but now with my weekly rakeback I haven't deposited in 6 months. Thanks again."
Erik Sørensen

Monthly Gross Revenue

SmartRakeback.com

Monthly Gross Revenue, or MGR, is a formula used by poker rooms to calculate rake contributed and most importantly calculating your rakeback earned. In common terms, MGR is your net rake contributed for that month. Your net rake contributed (MGR) is equal to the total amount of rake contributed in a month minus any deductions. These MGR reductions can include deposit fees, bonuses earned, and other deductions like cashing in points at a store.

Online poker rooms use MGR to track and monitor the profitability of each player, and we use it to calculate your rakeback stats. Poker sites also use monthly gross revenue to calculate how much rakeback to return to each player. Most rakeback deals offer you 30% rakeback returned to your poker account, what that means is that you will receive 30% of your MGR back in the form of "rakeback". So, as you can see it is very important to do your research and find out how the online poker rooms calculate MGR and rakeback in order to find the most profitable poker site to play at, we like the dealt rakeback deals at Cake Poker ourselves - 33% Cake poker rakeback and some of the softest cash games of all online poker rooms.

When looking for rakeback deals, the easiest variables to consider are the MGR deductions. Identify and compare everything that the poker rooms deduct from MGR before refunding your rakeback. Also, check to see if tournament fees are included in MGR calculations.

The other important variable to consider is how they calculate your rakeback contributed in ring games. When rake is taken from the pot, they have to decide which players get credited with contributing the rake and how much they are credited with. There are three different methods used by most online poker rooms to credit this rake. The dealt method, the contributed method, and the weighted contributed method. The contributed rakeback method is the most common method and the dealt method is the best method for players who are tighter than the average player. We have many other articles that give more information on these methods and the impacts they have on rakeback.
